Using, of any addictive substance, gives us the temporary illusion of control, excitement and perfection. In recovery we discover, often to our great relief, that we're not perfect, that we need intimacy, and that integrity is more appealing than denial. Remember that you are more than what you eat. You are what you digest. RAW FOOD Heat kills food and destroys the life force in plants and animals. This life force is intact in raw food so this energy is transferred to our body. Anyone presenting with fatigue, depression, chronic fatigue or virus infection such as hep C will see a change in their energy level with raw foods. ARE YOU OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE? Let's say you are obese, according to your BMI. What should be your next step? First, realize that your over-eating problem is 1. partly emotional/mental, 2. partly due to physical cravings, especially cravings for wrong & stimulating foods, and 3. partly due to a sedentary lifestyle, and lack of exercise. STRESS AND THE BRAIN - BREAKING THE HEADACHE & MIGRAINE CYCLE Medical practitioners are good at treating the diseases that result from stress. However, stress and stress responsiveness is usually ignored in medical practice. At the very best, the prescription for dealing with stress or reducing stress is limited to off handed advice such as "take a vacation" or "you must learn to take it easy". That is no prescription! So many medical disorders, if not caused by stress are certainly aggravated by our response to stress. The center is without sound, that is why you can hear sounds - a sound cannot hear another sound. The center is absolute silence. That is why you can hear sounds entering you, coming to you, penetrating you, encircling you. ... SLEEP AND REST Falling Asleep: The Kelly Method Lie either on your back or on either side, whichever you find more conducive to easy breathing. Make sure your room is dark, and well-ventilated. Use a pillow that is just high enough to keep your head straight, or perhaps tilted slightly back. Be sure not to have the head lean forward -- when it tilts slightly back, the throat and eye muscles are relaxed, and breathing is freer. ...
